Brief Introduction

Huijuan Wu, Associate Professor from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). She received the B. Eng. and Ph. D. degrees in Opto-electronic Engineering from Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, in 2003 and 2009, respectively. During 2007-2008, she studied at Department of Engineering Science in Oxford University at Oxford, UK, as a joint training doctoral student. She joined the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2009, as a lecturer and then an associate professor now. She was a Visiting Scholar with the University of California at Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, CA, USA, during 2016-2017. She has authored more than 70 refereed journal and conference publications , and had three authorized US invention patents and 33 authorized China invention patents. She has participated in the formulation of one optical fiber sensing power industry standard, DL∕T 1894-2018 (General specification for power optical fiber sensors). She has presided over one project of National Natural Science Foundation (NFSC) and many cooperation projects of enterprises, and participated in one sub project of a joint key project, one major project, one major instrument project and one key project of the NFSC as a principal investigator. Her research fields include distributed optical fiber sensing and signal processing and she is currently a reviewer of several international magazines. She has made many invited reports and oral reports at domestic and international conferences on optical fiber sensing. The developed distributed optical fiber vibration and acoustic sensing system by her is widely used in the fields of safety monitoring of border lines and important regional boundaries, overhead (buried) power cables, submarine and land communication optical cables, long-distance oil and gas pipelines, and civil structures and large scale equipment, Among them, the "XXX control information system" project won the second prize of the 2015 provincial and ministerial scientific and technological progress award, and the "key technologies and applications of optical fiber fence" registered one scientific and technological achievement of Sichuan Province.
